Our ACO tiffany Peterson IS in jeopardy of losing her job. She is being laid off due to budget cuts. As we all know, her passion, heart and soul goes into helping animals. We need to rally behind this woman. WE NEED HER. OUR ANIMALS NEED HER. Please show your support by signing this online petition.
The response to this campaign has been overwhelming and it shows how many of you recognize the value of what Tiffany brings to our county. I am exhausted by the fight but seeing this level of support keeps me moving forward.

Find some "fluff" to eliminate from your budget to assure that Officer Peterson remains on staff. Her dedication and hard work are the finest example of what all County employees should possess. Get rid of the dead weight and keep those that do their job!

I remember back when there was media coverage about how the department couldn't keep a qualified person in this position. And then along came Officer Peterson. Not only has she stuck with it, she's excelled. You should find another way to balance your budget.

Tiffany goes far above her job requirements. She CARES about the animals and is very encouraging and knowledgeable in guiding people who have lost their pets. She is passionate about her job. It would be a terrible loss to our community if she is let go.

I have shared numerous articles with my three boys regarding Tiffany's work. Two of them have said I would like to be like her when I grow up. What a shame that a budget cut would put a job as meaningful as hers in jeopardy.

Huge, huge mistake to lay her off!! Your other two ACOs don't do nearly as much as Tiffany does!! Tif is a extremely positive force for the animals and for the community!!! We need her!!!! Muskegon County will suffer greatly if you do not retain her !!!!!!!!

Stop laying people off who help take care of and provide a necessary need for our community and our animal friends in need. I noticed layoffs were sent to the department of social services and children, and now this. So basically you are removing services that provide services and help for people and pets in need. Not smart at all!
I'll keep this in mind when it's time to vote!
