We customers of Willy Street Cooperative request that Willy Street Cooperative boycott the product labeled as Fire Cider produced by Shire City Herbals. This company has inappropriately trademarked the traditional remedy Fire Cider. This remedy has been produced by herbalists for several decades and is a traditional remedy that was copy righted by Rosemary Gladstar in her herbal books since the 1990's. Not only did they trademark this traditional remedy, they have sent cease and desist orders to herbalists who were producing this product long before they did. The trademark is in the process of being challenged, as there were other producers of this product prior to the trademark. The Federal Agency issued the Trademark without full investigation. We hope that you will join us in boycotting this product until the name is changed and the traditional remedy is returned to the rightful creators of this traditional remedy.
