We, the homeowners of Villanova, are experiencing a serious issue with the solar water heaters installed in our homes. Despite being covered by a 5-year warranty, many of the units are already rusted and leaking after only two years (Which is when our homes were handed over to us) leading to severe electrical problems. In some cases, the leaks have caused near-fire incidents due to water reaching the electrical systems, posing a significant safety hazard in addition to the accumulation of fungi on the roof.
The supplier has refused to honor the warranty, leaving us with malfunctioning and dangerous systems. Given the urgency of the situation, we strongly request that Dubai Properties takes immediate action to replace the defective solar water heaters and prevent further risks to our homes and family safety.

Seeing this many neighbors finally speak up is heavy but it proves how widespread this nightmare has become. I am exhausted by the constant silence from the developer but your support keeps me going for another round.

Amaranta B, Villa 227. Water heater has been rusty since handover and it was not fitted with the correct pressure relief (not even as per the as-built drawings received from DP).
I stay at Amarnata 1 villanova. Water heater is rusty and it will break anytime m. I have asked DP about the warranty and asked to contact supplier. Supplier said they warranty is void due to no maintenance been carried out.
Leakage in solar heater is a very common problem after 2-3 year and they don’t change or replace it. Its a nightmare to follow it up on mails

We have not been toold about the maintenance requirements in order to keep the warranty. The equipment is yet below half life of warranted lifetime and required repairs

Warranty should be adhered to and DP should take full responsibility for the contractors they appoint to complete the work. It's unjust for DP to take their hands off issues arising from contractors THEY appointed to complete work and represent DP directly.
