  • Dear Owners,

We need to unite as private owners to stop our body corporate from borrowing money.

We believe we will bear an unfair proportion of risk where our unit is not shielded by a corporation.

Also, most private owners have paid their accounts and do not seek to benefit from a loan.

Finally, our body corporate resolved in February 2020 to collect the $1 million in outstanding levies. We want that pursued with more vigour.

Rather they get a loan we fight to recover Debt that has been ongoing and not recovered.

Our body corporate is made up of 206 lots.

115 lots are held by corporations and 91 are held by private individuals.

12 of the private individuals have overdue levies.

30 of the corporate owners have overdue levies.

More importantly, the 30 overdue corporate owners own a further 80 units.

To extrapolate, 110 of the 115 corporate owners are currently overdue.

Those 110 units account for 53.4% of the total units in the body corporate.

(Figures taken from SSKB aged balance report dated 23/6/20)

We need to take action now.

VOTE NO TO THE LOAN AND YES TO THE DEBT RECOVERIES.
