Georgetown Park Tenants,

I am petitioning to have the "pay & display" visitor parking removed from our complex. The current parking machine is always malfunctioning and only seems to accept certain coins (it constantly spits out at least half of the coins I insert). I have had cars towed when the machine has been labelled "out of order" and also when the display ticket was "not visible." Parking at Georgetown Park has been incredibly frustrating for me and I am sure for you as well!

Crystal Properties Ltd. has claimed that the "pay & display" visitor parking was established to deter University of Manitoba students from parking in our lot for free instead of paying for parking on campus. This may be true but there are other ways to solve that problem other than making our visitors pay.

I personally think as tenants we should be given a free "visitor parking" pass which we could issue to a guest while they visit. Theoretically this should solve BOTH the issue of paying for parking and the supposed issue of random university students invading the lot.

Please sign this petition! Hopefully we can get Crystal Properties Ltd. to do something about this!

Your Neighbor!
