The Tenants Association - The Village Mission Valley
During these unprecedented times in our country the last thing the community should be worried about is our living situation. We the tenants of the Village Mission Valley demand that our safety be taken seriously, as it was sold to us when we all chose to live this community. This petition will outline our demands regarding safety for person and property, the goal being a serious conversation with management followed by immediate action.
- All security cameras will be functional at all times with backlogged footage. Furthermore the tenants will have a direct line of communication with Irvine company loss prevention officer or equivalent position. Lastly the adding of security cameras and light for areas in need.
- Security will be well staffed with a minimum of 3 guards at all hours one of which will be in a lead or management position. Security will be responsive, active, well trained and well informed. Irvine company management and security will work together and communicate with each other, management will hold security accountable of their duty's. Tenants will have a direct line to security which will be promptly answered.
- The in and out going gates will be functional at all times and only allow one car per activation. Those who drive through the gate or enter without a pass will be asked to leave or towed immediately. Foot traffic into the community will be monitored to reduce theft and damage to property. If you cannot ensure our safety and keep people from entering the community without being invited we will request a metal gate be installed.
- The Tenants Association will be meeting once a month from here on out, we will reserve either the lawn in the main pool area or upstairs at the Vivant. We invite a member of management to be present to take notes and for a standing meeting with the representatives of the tenants association to follow.
Keep in mind that these are the first steps our association has decided to take and it does not end here. The lack of management and security has always been a issue even before the pandemic but now when we have theft and threat on a daily basis we say it is enough. Ideally we will work together with the Irvine company to reach a better tomorrow, in this accountability is the 1st step.

I have been hearing so many stories from people in the community about their own bad experiences with the gates and the dark parking spots and it just makes me realize how many of us have been sitting in silence for way too long. The office is still acting like everything is perfectly fine but I am currently drafting a massive packet of all these issues to drop on their desks later this week so they can see that we are not going anywhere.

They’re more concerned with enforcing ridiculous rules at the pool than ensuring that the residents feel safe.
Quite concerned about the constant stealing happening on this property. We’ve had so many things stolen off our door step, our car was stolen, our parking sticker was taken right out of our car.. we don’t feel that our belongings are secure here.
Definitely we need cameras in all garages, my car got broken into and having cameras definitely can help with crimes reduction so we can feel protected living here.
Extremely disappointed with this communities security, lack of resident services, and absolute horrible communication. I am extremely upset with the way the resident office handled my car break in after providing a police report. Also reported to security and had to call 4 days in a row to reach them, not a care in the world. This is not the place i thought it would be. Once again I am absolutely disturbed at the fact that no one here cares about the residents besides the residents themselves.
I fully support trying to improve the living conditions at the Village Mission Valley. Security or lack of has not stopped criminals from just walking and driving into our so called gated community without anyone asking any questions. I’ve personally had a $800 mountain bike stolen right off the back of a car parked in my assigned parking spot. The criminal took the bike and walked right out of the garage through the stair door well and rode off. I filed a police report but nothing was ever done. We have homeless people wondering through out neighborhoods and canvassing the place all all hours of the day. Something needs to change ASAP!! We pay too much to live here to have all of these security issues.
You need to get it together quick, Irvine Co.!
Many serious issues with The village. -no compensation or break due to loss of amenities during pandemic - lawn service and trash starts at 8 a.m. loud and ridiculous - lack of gate security. Literally is pointless and anyone can get in. - elevator been broken atleast 4 times for long periods of time over weeks. List goes on, surprised a class action law suit hasnt started.

Agreed this is very much needed. Two different people were arrested on property this week and a third escaped. The severe lack of cameras and to know existing ones don’t even work or have backlog info is ridiculous.
