The Tenants Association - The Village Mission Valley

During these unprecedented times in our country the last thing the community should be worried about is our living situation. We the tenants of the Village Mission Valley demand that our safety be taken seriously, as it was sold to us when we all chose to live this community. This petition will outline our demands regarding safety for person and property, the goal being a serious conversation with management followed by immediate action.

1. All security cameras will be functional at all times with backlogged footage. Furthermore the tenants will have a direct line of communication with Irvine company loss prevention officer or equivalent position. Lastly the adding of security cameras and light for areas in need.
2. Security will be well staffed with a minimum of 3 guards at all hours one of which will be in a lead or management position. Security will be responsive, active, well trained and well informed. Irvine company management and security will work together and communicate with each other, management will hold security accountable of their duty's. Tenants will have a direct line to security which will be promptly answered.
3. The in and out going gates will be functional at all times and only allow one car per activation. Those who drive through the gate or enter without a pass will be asked to leave or towed immediately. Foot traffic into the community will be monitored to reduce theft and damage to property. If you cannot ensure our safety and keep people from entering the community without being invited we will request a metal gate be installed.
4. The Tenants Association will be meeting once a month from here on out, we will reserve either the lawn in the main pool area or upstairs at the Vivant. We invite a member of management to be present to take notes and for a standing meeting with the representatives of the tenants association to follow.

Keep in mind that these are the first steps our association has decided to take and it does not end here. The lack of management and security has always been a issue even before the pandemic but now when we have theft and threat on a daily basis we say it is enough. Ideally we will work together with the Irvine company to reach a better tomorrow, in this accountability is the 1st step.
