This petition is to stop valley parks new no makeup rule and stop girls being sent up to student support to wipe their makeup off. Why should girls feel low and unconfident at school just because wearing makeup apparently "distracts boys
I have been hearing so many stories from you all lately about how this rule is affecting your days at school. I truly never expected this to grow into something so significant but it is clear that your experiences are what really drive this work.

I am honestly a bit overwhelmed by the way so many people have come together on this. This momentum belongs entirely to all of you who decided this was worth fighting for.

Banning make up will make girls feel insecure and low, and will enforce bullying by other students. Being made to go to student support is affecting learning time, and surely the school should be focusing on students achieving their GCSE's and BTEC's of a high level rather than wasting learning time out of lesson?

I used to have so many problems in the lower years of valley, getting sent to have my make up taken of every day and told to change my hair colour, they do not understand the concept of expressing yourself making yourself stand out. It's a joke. I felt so self conscious every day after removing my 'slap'

Ridiculous! Makeup does not affect a students learning. If it is banned in the near future, they should ban female teachers from wearing it also, for causing 'distraction'. This school (prison) is getting laughable now.

I think that if is silly for girls to take their makeup off as some girls are going through bad spots and they want to hide it to make themselves feel confident about themselves and without it they cannot be themselves. I feel that it is a silly rule and it not effect many people but can effect some badly!

I totally agree with this petition. Some girls are insecure with their natural skin and like to apply makeup to feel more confident. So what if it "distracts" boys? How is it gonna stop them from learning? They should focus more on people's education at valley park than stupid makeup which is DISTRACTING girls learning.

this is ridiculous, a makeup ban, really? to be honest i would be distracted from doing my work even more if i weren't to wear makeup because i would feel uncomfortable and self conscious. most of the girls in valley park don't even wear that much and if the students have to take their makeup off then i say so do the teachers because some teachers wear more than the students! this school is so pathetic and ridiculous.
