Final supporters
In 2013, GPSC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University of Arizona Administration on tuition and fees.
Most fees are transparent and provide useful services. The Student Services Fee and the Library Fee are two of the best overseen fees by the Student Services Fee Board and Library Advisory Council respectively. Both of these fees are transparent in how the money is allocated.
On the other end of the spectrum, the IT Fee and University Fees barely have any student oversight, input, or influence through the IT Student Advisory Board and the University Fees Committee.
The GPSC Executive Board and General Council are in agreement that these fees should be made transparent.
Can you sign a petition that GPSC can deliver to UA Administration? We will advocate for making the committees that oversee these fees more transparent and collaborative in the oversight process, through work with graduate and professional students.

We are getting so near to that two hundred fifty mark and I honestly think hitting it will force the admin to actually look at our demands instead of just ignoring the inbox notifications. Keep pushing this onto your department group chats because I know for a fact they are checking the total every single morning while they drink their coffee.

Just when you think you clear on average $16,000 per year as a half-time teaching assistant, you kiss $1,000 of it goodbye to pay fees. And for what? Another update to D2L? For the WiFi to go out? For administration to hire someone's best friend for a new job that makes no sense? Stop it. For real.
Each year, grad students are required to pay fees that constitute nearly a month's worth of wages (about $600 per semester). Paying these fees is always difficult on already less-than-poverty wages. At the least, grad students deserve to know how this money is being used.
Raising fees rather than tuition effectively reduces income for graduate students funded by RA's and TA's. I find the indirect method of reducing already minimal income frustrating and would at the very least appreciate more transparency in what the fees are supporting.
This is absolutely shameful. I would really love to see a detailed report of how this money is being used to, as the website says, "fund customized student services related to online courses for things like tutoring, advising, tech support, and enhanced electronic learning tools."
The UA Green Fund is a good example of a student-run fee with a high degree of transparency. The IT fee should be restructured to be more similar to the Green Fund.

According to the New York Post’s story, Hunter Biden in 2015 introduced his Father, then VP in the Obama Administration, to a Top Exec Vadym Pozharskyi at Ukrainian Burisma Holdings Ltd after Hunter joined the company’s board which was Paying him up to $83,000 a Month. The insinuation is that Hunter Successfully Influenced his Father to Pressure Ukraine Government officials “into Firing the Prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who was Investigating Corruption against Burisma. Facebook and Twitter took action to limit distribution (censored) the New York Post story citing Emails purportedly Revealing Evidence of Influence-Peddling by Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden. The Emails were obtained from a Laptop which had a sticker from the Beau Biden Foundation, and had been Abandoned at Computer-Repair Shop, named “The Mac Shop” in Wilmington, Delaware and owned by John Paul Mac Isaac, who then reported the laptop’s contents to authorities which determined that the laptop and hard drive contain fruits of criminal activity. Joe Biden and his family engaged in "Legal Corruption" despite claims of no wrongdoing and the Liberal Main Stream Media Refuses to Talk and will never Report about Hunter Biden’s laptop and emails, fearing Democratic Presidential Nominee Joe Biden will Lose the 2020 Election if this information is exposed to the American People. This is evidence that Joe Biden participated in his Family’s CASH-for-Influence Scheme with Shady Foreign Companies. The American People should be demanding that the Media investigate this scandal before they VOTE, but we know, the Media will never report on Hunter Biden’s emails because it would be harmful to Joe Biden.

Once the goals proposed for the fees are met, the fees should be ended. Fees should have a specific, clear function. They should not be used in lieu of raising tuition.
