As of right now, you pay $300 to our student activity fund. Most of it goes directly to our clubs and organization. But not all. 3.5% of our money goes to lining the pockets of the Student Senate’s Executive Board. This was voted on by Student Senate themselves last year, with little to no crowd sourcing from the general body. This money could go to better funded: W-Day, intramural sports programs, victim protection programs, programs against sexual violence, better vans for transportation, fixing the infrastructure of our school, Greek week, more extra curricular programming. Our Student President’s job is to act as the official representative of the Wittenberg Student Body. Where was our representation during this vote? It wasn’t with US. Student senate unethically voted to pay themselves off OUR financial burden. Make your voice hear, stand up to Student Senate.

I am honestly overwhelmed by the momentum we have built together. This has grown well beyond what I ever imagined was possible when I first hit publish. It is clear that we finally have the attention of the people who need to see this.

Ridiculous. We are already drowning in student loans and now they want a cut of our activity fees for their little clubs?
This is a shame. Goes back to "taxation without representation!!" And we all know how well that will go
I'm not paying for your activities and the like. I'm paying to go to school. This shouldnt be going in their pockets.
Student Senate is a student organization. Other clubs and organizations don't have "executive salary" on their budget proposals?
