Next year, at Tarpon Springs High School, for the 2016-2017 school year the Board of Education as well as the parents have decided that it's a "good idea" to enforce school uniforms. Well, this petition serves to collect the signatures of students (and teachers, staff, community members, etc.) to declare that we DO NOT under ANY CIRCUMSTANCE want uniforms to be implemented. The compromise is that the dress code will revert to a previous state of normal clothes, with of course some exceptions (no obvious sexual/violent clothing/symbols etc.), but we firmly believe that this option is much better for the student's well-being, especially for students of a lower economic status who cannot afford several outfits of this new uniform. (As keep in mind just one set will not get someone through the year)

If this petition gains enough signatures, it will be sent to the county for hopeful reviewing. Thank you for your signature.

not everybody has the nessecary funds to buy an entire new wardrobe for school alone. Some people don't even have money to buy new clothes for the current dress code. If the current dresscode was enforced on both the teachers side and the administrations side, there would be no problem.

The dress code for next year is unreasonable. Especially for seniors because we have to buy a whoe new wardrobe for a singe school year and then never wearing it again.

Uniforms conform everyone to be the same. They are really expensive and they truly serve no purpose. You are going to make poor people poorer and take away individuality. That's why I'm signing this.

This is outrageous! We can't dress like we're going to a white wedding? If you dare try to enforce this, I'm going to have to rebel yell! BWAHHHH!!!! SUCH THESPIANS WE ARE!
