We, the residents of Killen, Alabama, pledge support for efforts by our municipality to provide additional recreational facilities at the Killen Town Park including a new splash pad for the park:

THE LAND AND WATER CONSERVATION FUND ACT OF 1965 (PUBLIC LAW 88-578), REQUIRES THAT CITIZENS BE AFFORDED THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPRESS THEIR VIEWS CONCERNING THE RECREATIONAL NEEDS OF THEIR COMMUNITY. TO PROVIDE A FORUM FOR DISCUSSION, AN OPEN MEETING IS BEING HELD ON JANUARY 4TH, 2016 AT 4:00 P.M. AT KILLEN TOWN HALL, 319 JC MAULDIN HWY, KILLEN, AL 35645.
THE PURPOSE OF THIS MEETING IS TO DISCUESS THE DEVELOPMENT OF A NEW SPLASH PAD AT KILLEN TOWN PARK, LOCK SIX ROAD, KILLEN, AL.

My address is 5153 Co Rd 73, Killen, AL 35645. I support a splash pad in Killen 1,000,000%!!!! It will only bring more interest into the Killen Park. How could you go wrong? I say we even do donation buckets at events to help pay for the build, and/or pay for upkeep. We have one of the best communities in Lauderdale County and we have always come together to help thy neighbor. Let's get this ball rolling!
This would be a great improvement to our town park, but we also need more parking area there too if this happens...
As long as it doesn't get bad like the one in Florence , we have had broken bones by multiple friends kids . All because parents drop kids off unsupervised
A splash pad for Killen is such a wonderful idea. This would keep my family and I here in our home town. We would also eat lunch and spend our money here instead of in town.
I would really like to see a splash pad put in at killen park. We take our little girl there to play during the summer, but have to drive to Florence to let her play at the splash pad at the Marriott. It would be a great thing to put in, and draw more crowds to the town of Killen, and let the kids have more fun. Thanks.
Great idea for kids
Our 8 grand children would love the splash pad !

I think a splash pad would be a great addition to Killen Park! I've been a lifetime resident of Killen. Having a child myself, I know a splash pad would be a huge hit with her!
