The Board of Directors of Pelican Landing has decreed that no person wishing to launch their stand-up paddleboard (SUP) from the new marina amenity may do so. Since it is hazardous for this activity to be conducted in Spring Creek, and the marina now offers access into Estero Bay that previously was unavailable to PL residents wishing to SUP, we support a change in the rules to allow the launching of paddle boards from this amenity. Other people-powered craft, such as kayaks and canoes, are allowed to launch. We ask that you sign this petition and join us on February 19th at the Board of Directors meeting to support us in our effort to amend this rule to include the popular sport of stand-up paddling at our new community amenity.

Reaching this level of support honestly leaves me feeling a bit worn out but also deeply focused on the task ahead. It is becoming clear that we are not the only ones who find these rules frustrating and outdated. We keep pushing because the unfairness of this situation is too much to ignore.

Yes allow the paddle boards. Let PL residents fully enjoy the marina that they paid for!

Agree that they should be allowed to launch from marina and also be allowed to be transported to the island on the shuttle boats.

Let's give it a try! Maybe folding paddle boarding in with canoe/kayak amenity for instant organization.

This should be a no brainer. SUP's are easier than kayaks or canoes to launch. This needs to be changed to allow SUPs the same access.

Paddleboarding is the fastest growing water sport in Florida. Safety techniques are taught by the Coast Guard. It is not feasible to paddleboard in Spring Creek because of alligators, but it is feasible to paddle in the Bay and should be allowed.

I believe paddle boards should be allowed to use the CPM launch, however, I do not believe kayak/canoe/or paddle board owners should have to pay a fee to use this AMENITY!

Yes, allow paddle boarders - they are easy to launch, and easy to load.
