Recently, the FishHawk CDD has begun enforcing the "no scooter" rule at the community Skatepark. The rules state that BOTH skateboards and ripsticks are allowed there. Our children have enjoyed using the facilities for years, but are now being told that they need to leave if not on a skateboard. As you know, scooters are both more maneuverable and equally as safe/dangerous as skateboards and ripsticks. We are petitioning the CDD board to hear our request to simply change the rule and allow scooters to use the skatepark facility.
