Recently, the FishHawk CDD has begun enforcing the "no scooter" rule at the community Skatepark. The rules state that BOTH skateboards and ripsticks are allowed there. Our children have enjoyed using the facilities for years, but are now being told that they need to leave if not on a skateboard. As you know, scooters are both more maneuverable and equally as safe/dangerous as skateboards and ripsticks. We are petitioning the CDD board to hear our request to simply change the rule and allow scooters to use the skatepark facility. If you agree and would like to see scooters allowed at the skatepark, please sign this petition, to include name and address.
Thanks so much for your support,

The growth of this petition has reached a level that necessitates a formal response from local officials. I have requested a spot on the upcoming CDD board meeting agenda to present these signatures and argue for the rule change.

My daughter got kicked out yesterday. She was just trying to have fun with her friends. Why is this even a problem?

Ridiculous rule. It is a public park for the community and kids should be able to ride whatever they want. Fix this now.
