Respected Madam,
I am student of the Institute of Chartered Accounts of India and I am writing this petition on behalf of the students in my city. This petition as the title suggests is about the distribution of study material to the students.
ICAI distributes the books through its various branches for the convenience of students. However, the problem that students are facing is that the August/ September print edition do not come to these branches even by December. The students giving exams in the month of May have serious trouble preparing for the exams since they are left with only 4 months roughly by the time they receive the books.
This has become an epidemic issue and we understand that there are logistical difficulties in transferring the books since it is not an easy task to estimate the number of students per branch requiring the books. We suggest that this issue can be overcome by asking the students to pre book their study material in their respective branches in the month of Sept/ Oct so that atleast by the month of November latest they have the books in their hand. Every day that a student wastes running behind the material essentially means 12 hours of study time wasted on an average.
We are all professional students and we do not intend to flood the official emails by mass complaints. Hence, we have tried to consolidate all the complaints in a single petition. We have asked the students to sign this petition vouching for the facts that have been mentioned above. Looking forward to a long term solution from the institute.

When enquired in Vashi branch of WIRC, we got to know that the books would be available there in mid January! Kindly make arrangements to issue study material through Vashi branch also by December!
It's a real concern for every student as their option is to study previous attempt books which doesn't incorporate the latest amendments covered in our exam.
please provide new latest updated study material on time
Please provide us d updated modules as soon as possible,as earliest as possible.
We request our honourable institute to keep us informed about the publication & supply of study material.

My attempt is in may 16 and still i didnt received any study materials from icai.. If they will delay like this how students will study in such a less time..

Even authority letter given by one branch to issue books to students of another branch where books have not come is termed as useless authority. The study materials should flow in all branches in near time or same day else such authority letters given should be accepted rather than having the student run from branch to branch and in the end get nothing..
