East Riding Council have refused our application to Retain the Illuminated Signage on our shop due to "the size, Material and Colour detracting from the character and appearance of the Conservation area". Apparently it is "harmful to the visual character of the surrounding area". Already we have 300 signatures from residents, neighbours, customers of Market Weighton disagreeing with the Council and agreeing that we should be allowed to retain the Signage.
