Rainbow Slides was a sports/swimming complex in Stirling with creche facilities which was closed due to a state of the art complex being built. The new Peak building has opened but with no creche thereby rendering it useless to anyone with pre-school children. As an Active Stirling facility this is outrageous so I am campaigning for The Peak to install a creche. Please support my campaign and prove that it is time that the local councils listened to and responded to the needs of their constituents.

Updates

April 10, 2009

The stories coming in from parents show how completely trapped people feel since the old facility closed. I am currently mapping out the specific council members to contact regarding this oversight. Post this link on your Facebook page today and tag your local representative to demand they address the lack of childcare access.

The momentum behind this call for a creche at The Peak shows that parents in Stirling will not be ignored. Post the petition link to your Facebook page today and email your local council representative to keep the pressure on.

the peak is useless to me without childcare. why did they not think of this when building it?

it is so unfair that we lost the old facilities and got nothing back for the kids. struggling to get to the gym at all lately.

PLEASE get this sorted. I miss being able to train while my little one is safe. its impossible to find time otherwise.

stirling council really missed a trick here. supposed to be a health hub but no way for parents to use it.
