The following signatures represent our collective sadness at the possible elimination of half our opportunities to gather as a community with a common interest in supporting both upcoming and established musicians in the world of Jazz, and to honor the legacy of Larry Garland, and his presence at The Pressroom. In a world of such divisiveness, chances to find joy and appreciation in unity seem rare. It's a shame to even thing about lessening that prospect.

The Press Room Jam is a fundamentally important part of the Seacoast musical community. I’ve spent many Tuesday nights enjoying music and making music on the Press Room stage. Generations of musicians have treasured the experience of bringing their talents to this jam session, and the intrinsic educational and musical value of the session far eclipses most any similar experiences in the area. It would be a terrible mistake to limit and neuter the jam session at the Press Room. Please make the choice to honor an integral tradition of jazz music on the Seacoast by keeping the jam session in its current state.
A disappointing decision with no indication on the events page that this has been terminated. It was the only reason that I went to the Press Room for dinner and drinks.
I’ve been going to the Jazz jam for almost 40 years. It’s an important institution and part of the fabric of our community.

Weekly jazz night at the Press Room has been a long-standing anchor of our local jazz scene. It would be sad to see this change from weekly to bi-weekly, and if it means needing to charge a few bucks for a cover to justify a weekly event, so be it. Our city is changing quickly, and one way for an iconic establishment like the Press Room to retain its character as a community hub is to support the weekly jazz jam. Thank you.
