Please support Local and Live music in the Delmar Community by signing this petition
A business owner in the area, NOT town resident, is trying to have a noise ordinance passed that would limit or possibly destroy the ability to host live music in the Town of Delmar.
The Groove has decided to step up in argument of this not only because it would greatly affect our business, but because it would affect other businesses, organizations, events and citizens in our town. It would also diminish the opportunities for local artists in our area to make a living with the assistance of being able to perform in our town.
Live music is at the heart of creativity and bringing people together. We see it with our patrons; it is something needed to help us escape from the day-to-day things that try to drag us down. Please consider signing this petition AND attending the Town Meeting on October 12th at 7pm to show your support to NOT letting this new ordinance pass and instead keeping our tradition of live music alive and supporting local artists/businesses alive.
Our goal is at least 300 signatures, if for any reason you cannot sign this petition, but you would like to show support please feel free to join and leave a comment on the Event page that we will post on the Groove Facebook page as well. Thank you!!!

I'm asking town leaders to recognize the value of live music and work with our community to ensure there are reasonable opportunities for local musicians and venues to continue sharing music with us. Let’s keep Delmar’s community spirit strong, support our local businesses and musicians, and keep the music playing! 🎶

I have been there numerous times and sitting in front of some of the live music. Never has it been over the top loud. They are good at monitoring the sound levels and adjusting as needed.
