As an avid supporter of The Jinx reopening in the Starland District of Savannah, I am signing this petition in lieu of my physical attendance to the City Council meeting on Thursday June 8th at 2pm due to having prior engagements such as vacation or work at that time. If I were able to attend in person as a citizen of savannah to demonstrate my support of The Jinx I would absolutely do so, please take my signature on this petition in place of that, thank you.

I have been hearing from so many folks who wish they could make the council meeting but have work or other things going on. It feels like the city is finally starting to realize that people actually care about The Jinx coming back to the Starland District. I am currently trying to figure out the best way to get all these names in front of the right people even if we are not all sitting in those chairs.

I firmly believe the Jinx will be a positive addition to our community (as they always have been). I also think they will have gone above and beyond to reach out to neighbors and take suggestions from the community, including adjusting their proposed hours. Thank you, Ava
The jinx has been a long standing institution of art and counterculture. It was a very important and vital part of our community for many years. Having them back after the pandemic changed the economic landscape would have a positive and meaningful impact.
The Jinx is a staple in Savannah, GA. Its a one of a kind bar and it was the first bar I ever went to where it felt like home. It’s strange, it’s weird, just like Savannah. Please keep The Jinx alive.
As a longtime resident of Savannah and an active member of the professional community, I am wholeheartedly in favor of the City of Savannah granting the Jinx a special use permit.
Savannah’s music scene is better off with the Jinx existing. Having left Savannah for other regions of Georgia, I can say that it’s existence benefits the GA music scene on a state-level.

What can I say about THE JINX that hasn't been said? It was my home away from home and the place I met my tribe. If you wanted to be part of something THE JINX was it. Bring back that feeling.

The Jinx was where I spent a lot of time when I was here in my 20’s and miss the atmosphere as well as the amazing live music and themed nights that used to happen there. I moved back to this area almost two years ago and was sad to see it had closed. It was my home away from home and I am excited at the thought of it re opening in the Starland district.
