We the undersigned are adult residents of
Baltimore, Maryland and support Chesapeake Wine Company's petition to continue
operations under the current zoning code as a BD-7 License. This will allow Chesapeake Wine Company to continue to sell alcoholic beverages 7-days a week, without
the need to justify a percentage of on-site consumption.
The feedback from neighbors has been wild and honestly I keep reading these stories about why this shop matters while drinking my coffee in the morning because it reminds me that zoning codes are just boring words on paper until they actually ruin a real community space. We are trying to get someone from the city office to actually acknowledge why we need this license to stay as it is but for now it is just a lot of waiting and emails that go into a black hole.

They have been a great neighbor for a long time. Zero impact on the area except for being helpful and convenient. Just let them operate.

Best wine shop in the neighborhood. Keep it simple and let them run their business like they have been for years.

This place is a staple for Baltimore. Why create these ridiculous hurdles for local businesses that actually contribute to the community?
