The city finally caved and approved the plans for the youth park on Jackson Street. They tried to ignore us for months but our persistence forced their hand. We won this fight and now we hold them to their promise to build it right.

I think that Ozark should have a Youth activity park similar to St. Charles County. http://www.sccmo.org/741/Youth-Activity-Park They have a 30 foot rock wall, outdoor skate-park build for all types and skills of riders, sand volleyball court, half court basketball court, air hockey table, Foosball table,and large video gaming area equipped with 2 flat screen televisions. They also reserve parties, meetings, a Halloween party, picnics or birthday parties.
I have some plans but am open to ideas, after all it is for the community.
I have contacted bmx professionals to help design the best park possible along with it catering to the needs of all skill levels of riders. I want this to be a high quality long lasting park that the community can enjoy for generations to come. I have a place in mind for a location, its the area adjacent to El Avacado, its address is, 322 West Jackson Street, Ozark Missouri. Its an empty lot, completely unused but brimming with potential! This could produce jobs for the youth of Ozark, we could open a shop there where we can sell parts for skateboards, scooters, bikes, and food or snacks. We could sell full skateboards, complete bikes, or complete scooters.
The image attached is a picture of the location that I believe would be prestine, I added some sketches atop of it. The black and yellow right side is the parking area, the grey edge is a fence. The center triangle is the main building, there will be a shop, 2 bathrooms, and a viewing area with a bleacher bench. The entire empty left lot is where the action sports area will be. The city officials in Ozark keep ignoring this empty lot while our kids have nowhere to go. This surge in support proves they cannot pretend this need does not exist any longer.

I approve that we need this to keep kids away from private spots around here and would be amazing for kids to be able to go somewhere where their aloud so let's build this skate park so that kids caint get harassed on spots they try and ride or skateboard.
Honestly, a youth activity park like this could change lives. I highly recommend this be built, a rock wall would also offer another opportunity to get kids rock climbing, which is highly positive.
I think this would really help with kids getting into drugs. It would also be a safe place for kids to go.
Adolescent years are tough; many teenagers do not have a safe environment outside of school and end up making poor life choices. If we had a place for these teenagers to stay active and feel supported by their community, I believe there would be a decrease in the number of young folks we lose to bad decisions. Somehow, we need to get the financial support and city council approval for such a place.
This sounds amazing! Please do this for us, there isn't too much to do around ozark so we have to drive out to springfield. This would be great if you guys would do this.

The skatepark aspect of this would be amazing for the community it would get so many people into action sports whether is scootering, BMX, skateboards, etc is would really be a great thing for the community and so many people would be happy it would also motivate kids to get out of the house and do something productive
