I have been hearing from so many parents who just want a safe space for their kids to ride after school instead of lingering in parking lots. We are putting together a formal proposal to show the town council exactly why this park is overdue for our youth.

Seeing this kind of momentum behind a skate park finally proves that our kids deserve more than paved parking lots. Watching the town rally behind this dream makes me feel like we might actually build a place where my own son can ride safely.

This is exactly the type of thing we need in a town like Deep River, something to keep the kids entertained and off the streets, and out of trouble.
Would be a great thing for the town! We travel to Petawawa alot to use there bike park! Would be awesome if we could get one!!
We need this for out kids !!! I even know some adults who would enjoy this so much not everyone enjoys organized sports !!
I agree that this would be a great addition to our town to keep our youth active and focused on the healthiest things; body movement and sport.
If there was a skate park in Deep River when I was a kid I may not have got into so much trouble growing up. Kids need this!!

This is a good idea, not only for the kids, but also for the people who don't like seeing kids skating downtown! Give them a place to go and you won't see them!
