Cathy is a single parent of a brilliant daughter; like mother and daughter a like they are both firestorms, very friendly and everyone's best friend. She is like my second mother, who is also a single parent. For the last year, Cathy has battled tumors that need to be removed as soon as possible. Cathy has been turned away from insurance companies, government agencies, and even state representatives help. Cathy has already lost hearing in her right ear permanently and if her tumors go untreated and do not be removed she will be permanently disabled. Cathy has had a very rough year, as if her health weren't bad enough, family problems and illnesses have also arisen. If Cathy's tumors were removed she would be able to return to work and would be off of any assistance she may need in about four moths. However it seems that the government wishes to see her on their list for the rest of her life; something that Cathy does not want.
