My dear friend Delaney Matthews is in dire need of cancer surgery. He has been a firefighter for the State of Maryland for 33 years. Delaney's insurance company is declining his doctors request to do this surgery. Even more upsetting is that they told him just days before the surgery and will not give him any reason why. I am petitioning the new Insurance Commissioner of Maryland Therese M. Goldsmith to look into this matter and rectify this travesty of justice immediately. I request that everybody sign this petition that will be forwarded to her along with his medical records this week. Thank you for helping me with this urgent cause!
I have finalized the formal letter and the compiled medical records for Commissioner Goldsmith. The next step is a scheduled delivery to the Maryland Insurance Administration office to ensure this reaches the proper desk.

What is the point of having coverage if they just cancel it when you actually get sick? Do something Therese!

33 years of service and he gets treated like this by his own insurance. Shameful.

Praying for you Delaney. No one should have to fight their insurance while fighting for their own health.
