Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and respond to this petition! ***THEY ARE REMOVING THE STOP SIGNS!!! As stated below they will be removing the stops signs Saturday, April 22nd, 2017.
Here is the reponse being forwarded to all concerned individuals:
"We are aware of the issues created by the installation of this multiway stop. We received safety funds to build a roundabout at this intersection but due to the length of time it takes to design a roundabout, purchase ROW, have utility relocated and based on our current work load with other already funded safety projects we will not be able to build this roundabout until 2020. Because of this we were asked to do something to make the intersection safer before the roundabout could be built. We decided on a multiway stop due to how quickly we could get one installed. We did look at and evaluate the traffic volumes but did not expect to see anything like what is occurring out there today to happen. Based on what we are seeing happen we are going to be removing the stop signs on Lawyers Rd tomorrow."

Horrible.. traffic is backed up to stevens mill! This helped nothing! My child is now late for school because bus delayed due to traffic back ups!
This 4 way stop has created more traffic problems than it has solved. It's immediate removal is necessary to orderly traffic flow through an area that is expanding and will only continue to do so in the near future.
Please get rid rid of this, this is so unsafe for the neighborhoods and makes my morning and afternoon commute way longer! For what use to take me 20 minutes to get home now takes me 45!
I feel even more fretful about traveling this road now. We also have a young teen that drives to and from school and I was already worried now I can't even explain how terrified I am until I here she has made it to school. IT NEEDS TO BE TAKEN DOWN AND OTHER MEASURES EXPLORED. YOU TOOK AN ALREADY HEAVILY TRAFFICKED ROAD AND MADE IT 100 TIMES WORSE. especially for the communities that are on this road
Unsafe for first responders to whom we depend to timely and efficiently respond to emergencies!!! Need better solution and until one is available signs need to be removed.
This was one of the worst decisions ever. Please put up traffic lights instead.

Living on Lawyers Rd for more than 40+ years this is THE most ridiculous thing I have ever seen DOT do! They must have left the decision up to a couple of pair of dice.... "Oh let's see.... a 6 ok that's means a stop sign it is" smh give me a break!
