Barcocina is a progressive Mexican concept showcasing twists on original Latin flavors. The menu emphasizes shared plates to give our guests the ultimate Eat, Drink, and Socialize experience. Barcocina offers a one of a kind drink menu that features sweet, smoky, and spicy takes on classics, as well as innovative mixology.
Our goal is to provide our neighbors with a fun and exciting concept, so they can dine in the comfort of our their own neighborhood. We would love to open a 2000 square ft. patio by spring 2016. I have been reading through the notes many of you left about how much this neighborhood needs a spot to gather outside. The city has been slow to move but we are currently preparing a formal proposal to show them just how many people want this patio to happen.

Seeing this kind of movement toward our patio space makes me feel like we are finally going to get that outdoor seating for our community. I have dreamed of serving margs on that deck since we first opened these doors.

The prior restaurant used the space for parking. A well kept patio, in keeping with Barcocina's aesthetic would be a welcome enhancement to the corner and neighborhood.
This would be a fantastic addition to the street--it would really add to the draw and pull people to our neighborhood. The restaurant is gorgeous and I'm confident the patio would be really nicely done. There's space, there's interest, and I can't see any reason against it.
I absolutely LOVE Barcocina. I think it's an excellent addition to the neighborhood. Food/Drinks, Atmosphere, & Service are all incredible! Other places should take notes as I was beyond blown away at how quick Barcocina completed construction and opened with fluidity and ease! I think the only way this place could get better is by adding a patio. They have the perfect space to put the patio, it will attract more crowds, and there is little Chicagoans love more than the opportunity to dine al fresco throughout the summer. It's what we all look forward to after a harsh winter.
The patio will a great deal in adding vitality to the neighborhood. All surrounding businesses will benefit from the attraction and it will provide an enhanced dining experience for people venturing into the Lakeview area.
I live in the neighborhood, actually right down the street from the restaurant. I fully support the 2,000 sq.ft. outdoor patio - Barcocina is a fantastic addition to our neighborhood! Thank you.

There is very little patio atmosphere in this area of lakeview. Having one with this restaurant, particularly with the location, would be welcomed,
