Many residents and friends of Jonestown feel strongly that the name of our city does not accurately represent who we are, the vision of our growing community, nor the physical realities of North Lake Travis and the beautiful Texas Hill Country.
Parks, luxury waterfront homes, resort destinations, event venues, outdoor living, watersports, wildlife and recreation are the heart of our city.
Join us in remembering our past by honoring our founders as we move forward as the waterway to the hill country.
Please support the re-naming of our city!
Thank you - Friends of Jones Harbor
I have been hearing from so many of you who see the same potential for our town that I do. Your stories about why this change matters for our future on the water are what keep me focused on the path ahead.

Seeing this kind of energy for the name change is overwhelming because our community finally feels ready to embrace its true identity. It confirms that the vision I have for Jones Harbor is shared by so many of you who call this place home.

Jonestown sounds like a bad history book chapter. We live right on the water and the name should reflect the beauty of this place. Jones Harbor sounds much more upscale.

Doesnt matter what you call it, its still my home. But Jones Harbor sounds nicer for property values anyway. Lets do it.

Finally. It was always a little bit creepy telling people where I live because of the association. This change is long overdue for our town.
