This petition has been created by Concerned Parents and Community of Tullycarnet Primary School to show the Education Authority of the support for the School.
Tullycarnet Primary School has been given five draft options from the Education Authority and it is clear that the community wants to keep the school open through meetings but we need to show the Education Authority how much support is there.
The five draft options were to Retain Tullycarnet Primary School, Downsize to a size more in keeping with its actual enrolment, Merge with a neighbouring school, Transform to a controlled integrated school and resize the school and Discontinue education at the school.
We do not want our children and beloved teachers and staff displaced!
We hope to use this petition to bring our current situation to the attention of as many people as possible and to help secure Tullycarnet Primary School for future generations. We would encourage you to share this link with as many of your family, friends and colleagues as you can.

I am fully in support of Tullycarnet Primary school. This community deserves to have local facilities for their children. Many households do not have cars and people should not be forced to travel long distances to access basic services. I want to offer the community and this school my full support.
Ridiculous proposal to close this ps in a densely populated area forcing more parents and children to travel, increasingthe carbon footprint, adding to congestion and the risk of more children being a ksi statistic when they are involved in an RTA/RTC!
Best decision i ever made for my son to go here, he wouldnt be the boy he is today without them teachers. The love and dedication these teachers have for each and everychild is so special. This school works and works well the children are proof!! Its not the school failing us its people failing the school.
I done my placement in the school for 5 months and worked with every one of the children and I saw how well they got on with all the members of staff and saw the relationships between the staff and pupils. Ive been in 2 other schools and Tullycarnet was by far my favourite. Would go back at any oppourtunity i had. Save the school!!
My kids aren't of school age yet but the school and all the family services in the building have been a real lifeline for us. I really hope they can stay open and be the same support for the community for many more years.
I loved this school lived facing it until we moved 41 years ago. Tullycarnet primary left in P6 Mr.Spence was the headmaster then.

I was a pupil at this school many years ago and I think it's an important part of the community. It educates the children well and supports them through their in/external links. It also keeps the community stable and interested in education which is extremely important for the future of the child and their parents.
