We the undersigned respectfully request that Wirral Council’s Planning Committee approves the above planning application on the following grounds:

The planning application has massively changed from an earlier application (reference APP/17/01387) refused by Wirral Council on 18 May 2018. Subsequently this new application adheres to all advice and suggestions the council requested, consequently, it is entirely appropriate that this application is granted;

The planning application need not take in to account any of the buildings "so called" heritage and is a non listed privately owned commercial building.

All alternatives have been thoroughly explored including that of redevelopment and residential use, however with the current state of the building makes all of these options are economical unviable.

The planning application demonstrates exactly what is required by Wirral Council to help meet the much needed housing targets as well as the unnecessary carving up of our precious green belt areas.

in addition to this, the newly proposed apartments will bring in much needed revenue and customers to service the newly created businesses in the New Brighton area.

Have stayed in this hotel many times. The proprietor does an excellent job and makes everyone feel very welcome to his hotel and does an excellent job unfortunately the building is falling down around him and it would not be feasible to repair with the condition and age of the building so unfortunately it does need to be demolished

The application now meets all the guidance and suggestions made on a previous application. A likely alternative will be a derelict building.

This hotel should be knocked down before it falls down, the owners have tried every option and now its time to finally call time! It seems the planning application has been frustrated by jealous neighbours... the same neighbours who complain when there is an event on and there is loads of cars parked. Follow the rules and move on with this redevelopment now.

I am a local resident and fully support the petition. As it says, all areas have been explored and the best option is to move forward with extra housing.

I fully support this demolition of an old building to bring about much needed housing in a local well-connected area. Business and building in current situation are no longer sustainable.

Much needed housing and in keeping with the other modern developments popping up around the area. Old building don’t last forever - very expensive to run I imagine and as mentioned more families in affordable housing

I would like to see this demolished as I am currently out of work after being sacked from my last job @ the travellodge a few weeks ago.
