Unfortunately, all who reside in and around Beltzville Lake State Park have witnessed the lack policy’s that are needed for Pollution, over maximum occupancy, parking in non parking zones, etc. The people of the area who not only pay taxes for this area are struggling to understand why no one on the political ladder in PA has taken the initiative to address these issues and make changes for better. This is why we are sending this petition to State Representative Mr. Heffley with the idea in mind of implementing entrance fees, littering fines, continue with the towing of cars on the streets and an ordinance for the noise coming from the cars and/or speakers. Let’s come together to keep the park clean, less individuals taking advantage by coming from out of state and leave their trash everywhere and disturb the peace each and every summer. The volunteers cleaning the park after these people, are just condoning there actions and it’s not right.
The scale of this support has secured a formal meeting with Representative Heffley to present our list of policy demands. I am currently drafting the proposal for entrance fees and littering fines to ensure the office has a clear document to review.

Save our lake. Tired of seeing dirty diapers and femine products on the floor in the restroom. Very disgusting, we don’t live this way at our homes. I would hope not :(

Please help us keep the Beltzville Lake area clean and safe. Mauch Chunk charges a fee to get in and they do not have the problems that Beltzville does.

The park is a privilege to have in our area, use of the park should be treated as such. Limiting guests, enforcing for excessive noise and littering would benefit all visitors. If it is legal to charge a reasonable fee for entrance/parking may also be beneficial in keeping the area clean.

I live here in franklin township and walk my dog at Beltzville daily. Now I have to be careful what kind of trash my dog is stepping when we walk! It’s a shame

If government, will not close the lake to out-o-state people, then must protect the PA tax payer. This means more patrols, enforcement of the rules., issuing citation, drug/alcohol check points, not allowing walk-ins once the park is closed at 75% capacity, multiple boats to patrol the waters , etc.

I think we should make people pay. It would help to pay for the hiring of more workers to clean up those dirty diapers etc.
