We, the undersigned residents of Fort Smith
support the Mary Kaeser Library, and request that the Town find a way
to provide the funds required so that the library can safely maintain its
current hours of operation.
Note: For those of you seeing a "donate" button, please understand those are donations for THIS WEBSITE and will NOT go to Mary Kaeser Library! If you would like to donate to iPetition, that's fine, but please understand that they are not affiliated with us and will not benefit the library! Thanks!
The MKL has been an asset to Fort Smith for as long as I can remember. It bothers me that people are even considering cutting funds given how much the library offers the residents of Fort Smith.

I cannot imagine a community without a library. Our library is a wonderful place to spend time in...so cozy, warm, welcoming. A great place for young and old. When my children were small we spent so many days picking out favorite books, music, movies, all for free.

The library is an essential hub in our community that is accessed by many community members, especially children and youth. We would suffer a great loss if we were no longer able to access the knowledge, technology, and space provided by our wonderful library and it's staff.

As the operator of the group home in town, our 6 kids spend a great deal of time there and really take advantage of all the services they offer. It's an awesome place for all and I hope the hours and services can be maintained.

Mary Kaeser Library is more than a place to sign out books. The programs the staff organize encourage people to read. In a territory that struggles with literacy, why would you cut services to a library?

I absolutely support the library's request. I would love to stop worrying about a 2% increase in property taxes and start worrying about improving the library - an important space for youth and literacy in Fort Smith
