I have been hearing from so many of you who worry that a full day program ignores how much our little ones need the comfort of home and play during these early years. We are currently gathering research from child development experts to present to the board because our children deserve a pace that actually fits them.

Seeing this momentum grow reminds me why I started this fight for my own child. It is clear that so many of you see the same urgent need for our neighborhood schools to protect these developmental years.

Please listen to the parents on this one. Half day is so much better for their development.
The district needs to stick with what has been proven to work. Stop changing things just to change them.
Kids are only little once. They need time to just be kids and play at home instead of being stuck in a classroom all day long.
Full day is way too much for a 5 year old. Keep it half day!!!!
Schools are overcrowded enough as it is. Full day will just make the facility issues worse.

My son is not ready for the long days. Half day is perfect for his age group.
