The museum asks for your support of an application for a Community Preservation Act (CPA) grant.
We are requesting funding for a comprehensive Building Conditions Assessment, to provide us with a blueprint for future repairs and preservation. This assessment and funding will allow us to:
- Repair and preserve flooring and plaster in the servants’ spaces, an important and popular part of our tours.
- Install air conditioning on 2 floors to provide a proper environment for collections storage.
- Repair/preserve other historic building materials.

South End. This is a precious and important building for Boston's cultural heritage, glad it's being taken care of.
This is such an important building to the city. The only one like it. Preservation is vital.

Beacon Hill resident here. Love that house so much, it really needs the updates to keep everything from falling apart.
South End. This is a precious and important building for Boston's cultural heritage, glad it's being taken care of.
