Recently there have been some negative comments made about our school. Fortunately they have not hurt our school spirit! This petition is for parents and community members who wish to show their support for Brooklin Village P.S. It is meant for positive comments only please. We have 750 students at Brooklin Village so it\'s inevitable that someone will be unhappy with something, sometime. We as parents have an absolute right to voice our opinions and be heard! The key to a strong school and a healthy community is how we go about changing what needs to be changed. Let\'s support parents who have problems and issues and yet take the time to deal with them positively. Let\'s support teachers who are not always perfect - they\'re human and deserve to be treated as such. Let\'s support our children who need role models to teach them how to debate their problems in a constructive way and hopefully carry it on in life. Let\'s support a principal and vice principal who, whether you agree with them or not, deeply care about our children. Let\'s support a community that stands together to make our school one of the best schools in Durham! Please sign this petition so we may show the community that we are a school united - a school where great teachers will want to come and teach our children. Please feel free to comment on a teacher, a student, the office staff, the principal or vp, a parent volunteer, the caretaking staff and/or anything that you feel is positive about Brooklin Village Public School. We welcome any positive input or ideas! This is our school and it is what we make of it....each and every one of us. Thanks so much for your support!!!!!

Seeing this outpouring of positivity reminds me exactly why I chose this community for my kids. Your stories about the staff and teachers prove that our school spirit is much stronger than a few negative comments.

Ignore the haters. This is a great school and the staff work way harder then people give them credit for.

Teachers are human too. Everyone needs to just be a little more patient and kind.
