Parents in the Washington County School District support and want these programs to continue. We want to continue to grow and develop the full potential of the program through the secondary level and to bring in additional languages at more schools.

I truly never imagined that two hundred and fifty people would feel so strongly about this cause. This progress happened because you decided it mattered enough to get involved, and I am just so humbled by the heart you have all shown.

I love dual immersion! My son has had a hard time in the past learning certain things. With Chinese he has excelled in all of his school work. He speaks it fluently & understands more than I've ever dreamed! Losing this program would be devastating to his learning and future!
Why would you end it now? My daughter has been in it for 2 years. if we knew that it was not going to be funded we would have never started on it. why put them in something that they can't finish.it is too good of a program not to continue with!!!
I teach the English side of the Chinese DLI at Santa Clara Elementary and witness the amazing progress of these students. Let's continue to give our students in Washington County the opportunity to meet their full potential in education.
Our 2nd grade daughter loves the Chinese program. She was very shy and quiet, but has opened up and gain so much confidence around others. I believe this is because of Chinese. The teachers have been wonderful. They are so positive and encouraging. Thank you WCSD for offering a great program/experience for our children!
I definitely support dual immersion and want it to continue to grow in Washington county. I also want to see it go through to the secondary levels, with the possibility of earning college level credits in high school!

Yes! Portuguese would be amazing. Brazil has the second largest economy in the Western Hemisphere and 6th in the world! Let's give our kids another competitive option aside from Chinese and Spanish!
