Studies show that there are multiple benefits to children who learn second languages before the age of 8. Not only are there major benefits to the brain, there are also major benefits social and for their futures.

Elizabeth Porter is going to speak with the Superintendent of Richland School District on October 30th. There are many people in RSD who have asked Elizabeth for help in advocating for language programs at the elementary level all over the Tri Cities. Elizabeth is in a unique position to work with the districts to make this happen. Not only that, but she is an RSD parent. If you agree with making language available to elementary students in RSD, please sign this petition before October 30th so Elizabeth can present the support for this idea to the superintendent

Research shows that learning multiple languages at a young age leads to increased neurological connections. I am an advocate for dual language learning from an early age. My children can understand four languages. Dr. Rama Devagupta, NBCT

In this increasingly global society, foreign language is vital. And learning it is so much easier as a little kid when language acquisition is at its prime. Play to their strengths! Teach them early!

What an incredible way to enrich our student learning! Let’s bring foreign languages to our elementary students.
