We, the undersigned, strongly support completing the Clairmont Walking Trail, thereby extending it for the last three blocks of the median on Clairmont Avenue, from 50th Place S where the trail presently stops, to just before 13th Street S.

I was just looking at the map again and honestly it is so wild that the trail just stops right in the middle of nowhere. If you could send this link to a few people today we might actually hit that next big number before the weekend starts which would be cool.

I was just staring at the counter and realized we are almost at a hundred names which is honestly wild because I remember when it was just me and my neighbor talking (mostly complaining) about the unfinished pavement. If everyone just grabs someone else in the neighborhood to click the button we will blow right past that milestone before the pavement even gets warm today.

I use to used that trail to walk my children form 5017 clairmont ave to triangle park walking with three small children it was hard after leaving the trail BC the side walk did not start till farther down the way this would be a huge benefit to people especially mothers that walk with their children
Yes, please. Safety would also be improved as people currently have to walk on street in this stretch of Clairmont. Traffic is heavy and often too fast.
As a resident who lives in front of a portion of the trail, from observations over the course of several years, I can say without a doubt that the trail is in constant use day and night. It is an important part of our neighborhood and it is important to the neighborhood to complete it.
I live at the unfinished end and due to the traffic, hills, and curves on Clairmont I'm unable to use and enjoy the finished part unless I leave home at 5 am.
It has been 10 years ! It was paid for by neighborhoods out of 501c plan. A huge plus for Birmingham to have a walkable neighborhood and close to trails. It only makes Birmingham look better and it is a healthy move !
the finished trail not only invites health and another reason to live IN Birmingham. it would then be close to the train trail by Trinity. BThis is a good thing !
This project is way overdue to complete. It has to be the complete support of our elected officials.

I would love to see this completed, as I run on this trail frequently from my house in Forest Park. It is dangerous for me to run on the street once the trail ends, although I do this anyways.
