Seeing this kind of momentum is exhausting but it keeps me moving forward. We have finally reached a point where the local council cannot look away from our needs.

we live so close to a business area and very close to Newcastle, it is unbelievable that we have such slow broadband. It makes it very difficult for me to work from home and really affects my work life balance.

BT are being completely disingenuous about this. It's inexplicable why they upgraded cab 33 (serving Heathfield and Edgefield) and 33 (Bede Close only, AFAICS) but not 36 or 21 or 34, especially 36 which has way more houses on it.

Super fast broadband is a government initiative and should be available to every community - see https://www.gov.uk/government/news/next-phase-of-superfast-broadband-plans-announced--4all - Why is BT not complying with government policy?

It beggars belief that our street is less than 600 meters from the Council offices, yet our internet connection is so shockingly slow and unreliable. Ironically, my connection froze once already while trying to complete this online petition.

I (as many of my neighbours) run a business from home and the broadband being so slow is seriously affecting my service delivery. We NEED fibre optic broadband in West Allotment and keep business in NT

Cannot believe that houses lass than a mile away are much better served than we are. Broadband is no longer a luxury. It's an essential part of modern life, evidenced by fact that the Government, national and local are promoting a huge digital agenda. Surely it's in everyone's interests to enure that people are equipped to engage with it
