Petition for Fibre broadband access for Ferryfield's Estate /Clearwater, Broughty Ferry
The only supplier than can provide fibre broadband connection to our area is BT.
They will not update at this time due to "commercial criteria for your cabinet 33 failing to meet the commercial criteria. This is because the cabinet is too small to provide a return on the investment based on the costs for the construction and on-going running costs of providing a new FTTC cabinet"
If fibre was installed there would be a range of suppliers that could be utilized including Sky, this provide much faster up and download speeds for all.
I have raised this petition in the hope of getting all residents to sign up to show that there would be sufficient demand to make the installation of fibre to our cabinet economical.
If you feel you would use fibre broadband if available please can you sign this petition so that we can put pressure on BT Openreach to provide this service to Ferryfield's and Clearwater estates

The responses from the provider remain dismissive despite the clear evidence of demand in our neighborhood. I am currently reaching out to local representatives to see if they can force a conversation with the people in charge. It is exhausting to fight for basic infrastructure but I am not walking away from this.

Seeing this grow has been exhausting but it proves we are not just imagining the frustration of our current connections. We have reached a point where they can no longer pretend we are the only ones struggling here.

My connection is so slow it takes ages to load a single webpage. Working from home is a nightmare here.
BT have a monopoly here and they know it. Time for an upgrade for Ferryfield.
PLEASE upgrade cabinet 33. We have been waiting years.
The speeds are pathetic for a modern estate. My kids cant even do their homework properly.
Just give us the choice ffs. Sky or Virgin would be way better than this.
