This petition is for residents of the St Andrews development in London (E3) to demonstrate to Barratts our desire for a better broadband service than we are currently receiving from BT and to ask them to work to prioritise us in the deployment of improved broadband services from Hyperoptic. The ADSL service at St Andrews is slow and unreliable for many residents and the Residents Association regularly receives requests to try to find ways to improve it. For a development that has been sold on its central, well-connected London location the broadband service is unacceptable and will only become more-so as other parts of London and the UK are upgraded to faster services. In response to this the Residents Association has investigated alternatives to the BT monopoly within the development and have developed and agreed a better value, faster solution with Hyperoptic. Hyperoptic would allow residents to receive a service at up to 1Gbit (more than 10 times faster than BT Infinity) and would remove the need to have a BT phone line if desired.
