Our team is looking to build a 48-bed inpatient detoxification facility in Salisbury Massachusetts. The proposed facility would be licensed through the Massachusetts Department of Public Health Bureau of Substance Addiction Services and also Accredited by the Joint Commission. As we are all aware, substance misuse has been a national crisis for many years. On March 1st, the White House Briefing Room published a Fact Sheet entitled Addressing Addiction and the Overdose Epidemic, stating that “drug overdose deaths have reached a historic high, devastating families and communities.” This Fact Sheet identified that “more than 104,000 Americans died due to a drug overdose in the 12-month period ending in September 2021.” This statistic is solely based on deaths from overdoses, and doesn’t include the countless number of individuals who experienced non-fatal overdoses and are struggling privately with alcoholism or other mental health issues such as depression, anxiety and other co-occurring disorders. The lack of resources in communities has created a hardship amongst individuals and families seeking help that has statistically demonstrated the need for facilities like what we are proposing today.

Our mission is to provide comprehensive substance withdrawal management services within a safe, structured and supportive setting that includes a variety of clinical, medical, educational and behavioral components. Our services will target the whole person, addressing biological, psychological, social and spiritual needs. In our caring, non-judgmental program, participants will embark on the beginning phase of recovery through physical detoxification of chemical dependence. Introductions to and instruction in medication assisted treatment options, alternative therapies, e.g. yoga and meditation, along with traditional evidence based therapies, e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing and 12 step self-help facilitation will form the core philosophy of services to support a path of long-term recovery. Our aim is to promote the well-being of the individuals and families in the town of Salisbury and its surrounding communities by providing accessible, quality substance use/addiction care for adults and their families, utilizing a service system that emphasizes trust, respect, confidentiality, and compassion. We are committed to quality care that is provided in a collaborative effort with consumers' overall health strategies and an array of medical and behavioral healthcare services.
