The University of Akron has filed suit to eminent domain the properties where Manuel and Colette Nemer and family have maintained business for almost thirty years. These properties are located on 445 and 451 East Exchange Street, Akron, Ohio, 44304 where Aroma Coffee & Tea and Manny\'s Pub are operated. The 5th Amendment of the United States Constitution states that \"No person shall be ... deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.\" I am opposed to using eminent domain to take Manny\'s Pub and Aroma Coffee & Tea in order to benefit The University of Akron. Manny\'s Pub and Aroma Coffee & Tea are family owned and operated businesses which I believe are substantial benefits not only to the city of Akron, but to the students of the University of Akron. By signing this petition, I am supporting the continuation of the businesses of Manny\'s Pub and Aroma Coffee & Tea and am against eminent domain thereof.
