The volume of support has now reached a point where local media outlets are requesting formal interviews regarding our policy proposals. I am currently finalizing a draft of the legislative amendments to present to the provincial committee. My focus is shifting toward coordinating a meeting with the Minister of Justice to review these specific demands.

SO sick of hearing these stories in the news. make the punishment fit the crime for once!!
the current laws are a joke. these people get off with a slap on the wrist while the animals pay the price. fix it now.
I see so much cruelty lately and it breaks my heart. If you can hurt an animal you are a monster and should be in jail.
Way to soft on these people. need really big fines and jail time to make them think twice.
its about time this happens! these poor animals rely on us to look after them. zero tolerance for anyone who hurts a defenseless creature.

Newfoundland needs to step up. Stop letting abusers walk free.
