we need the justice system to take these crimes more seriously and make sure that when people are found guilty of animal abuse that they are sentenced to the full extent of the law.
We would also like to see a registry for animal abusers so,that this will prevent an abuser from owning an animal ever again.And will prevent a repeat offense. Before anybody buys and animal from a pet store,breeder or shelter,there needs to be a background check done.Again,an animal cruelty registry would help determine the allowance of owning an animal.

New Brunswick courts are a joke when it comes to this stuff. needs to be way tougher penalties.
ABOUT TIME. lock them up and keep them away from animals for good. sickening what people get away with.
it breaks my heart how many cases go unpunished here. these poor babies have no voice of their own. we have to be better.
A registry is a great idea. Why should someone who hurts an innocent creature ever be allowed to adopt another one? Fix this now.
Seriously. Background checks for everyone. My dogs are family and I cant imagine them in the hands of someone who would hurt them.
