Let's Save CA Charter Schools from being eliminated by initiative measure 1774. The proponent of this measure makes several inaccurate statements on behalf of Californians. This measure would destroy the academic progress and confidence many children have and are experiencing from being homeschooled through a Charter School. The sad reality appears to be just another way for some to move money, for a hidden agenda and once again take it away from our children that are entitled to receive a free, fair and appropriate education. Our children are not "one size fits all". Truth be told, most parents that utilize Charters to homeschool have experiences with those charters they say have been life changing for their kids.
This petition can not stop measure 1774 from getting signatures. What it can do is help us get the support and backing we need from high profile personalities, politicians, companies and media to so the truth can be told about how a majority of these charters do help kids with special needs, do not discriminate, separate or single certain kids out but encourage kids from all backgrounds to come and work together at Community Day, Fields Trips, Science Fairs, Spelling Bees on-line and off-line. Public School charters are tested, regulated and many have higher curriculum standards in addition to following common word than most classrooms. Most Charters have a Mastery requirement of 80% before continuing on. This is why it is vital to get the word out on the false claims made in the initiative.
Our goal is for every signature they receive, we have another signature to negate it at the ballot box. We are a group of Moms that got word of this initiative proposed by Diane Mansker and took action!

Please keep the charter schools available to many. I noticed that my daughter takes ownership of her education and is more engaged and challenged in several different studies offer by the charter school than traditional, rote large public school programs.
One size doesn't fit all. Allow choice of schools so that every child has opportunity to succeed! These schools are developing amazing, supportive communities and doing an excellent job educating our youth! Our family and children love our charter school!
Need to keep my grandsons' option for his Charter homeschool program available to him, Hollister public school didn't come close to providing what was needed, not to mention being exposed to significant bullying.
Love our charter schools! Both my children are excelling at their charter school. If it weren't for the charter schools, my children would have to attend a school with over 500 students and would most definitely not have the support they need to excel academically.
My son is homeschooled through the charter I am a facilitator for. We pride ourselves on having the best-for ALL learners who choose us. Stop this from hurting thousands of children like my son and the families in our program.
They do amazing things!

Charte has been the biggest blessing for my family, my kids used to go to a regular public school and would get in a lot of trouble, but here, it's so much better and different! Now my kids have plans on going on to a university. Please save our charter schools
