Our children have attended charter schools for most of their lives. We have appreciated the option of finding a community in which our children could learn supporting their learning style. I am opposed to the disingenuous attempt being made to "improve schools". The elimination of charter schools would be a terrible loss, and a giant step backward. The right to choose is a fundamental foundation of this country. Defense of that right should be top priority.

Parents deserve to have options on how their children recieve an education. Having Charter Schools is a huge benifit to many.

Charter schools require meetings with a certified teacher so it untrue that there is no accountability. Charter schools offer a solid education for students who work better outside a traditional classroom. Charter school certified teachers offer assistance to the home educating parent while the school system is still receiving money for the student's attendance. Charter schooling is a successful alternative to on site public school. Let's keep this option available in CA!
