Keep our blocks. That's our mark of history in this small town school. I remembered waiting years to finally get to paint mine, I'm sure a lot of future generations would love to paint theirs to! What is their reasoning for wanting to cover them anyway?

Those blocks are sacred ground, we look back and reflect to our children of the time we were once their age. For those on the BOE who do not know the history of importance of them, ask any alumni. It goes back to the early 80s.

I was never a student at SCCS but during one of my son's baseball practices last month, my Mom and I enjoyed a nice walk around all of the halls of the school and we loved looking at every painted block. It's a part of history and would surely be a mistake to paint over them.

Class of 1997...It was such an important milestone to be able to finally paint a block like all of those before us! I remember trying to find the blocks of my older siblings and relatives who attended decades before. Please rethink this!!!

This idea is a little ridiculous. Please don't paint the squares. The kids enjoy the pictures, and doing what their parents had done before them. The parents enjoy showing their children their blocks and reminiscing. Please, worry less about esthetics and more about the desires of the community.

Please don't paint over the artwork. I look at the blocks every time I am at the school. It's history for the school. Some of the kids that have painted the blocks have passed away and loved ones go to look every time they are at the school.

As parent and grandma the moving up blocks is something that I can show my family and I can still remember the special day that I painted my block it was the step that I went from child to teen
