This Petition is to save our graduation portraits dating back to 1978. (Signed by all former and present Don Bosco students and staff) (Portraits around the school from each graduation year). Because, the school board won't care nor have any interest in keeping those portraits, and we all would have loved in the future to go back and show our kids or anyone where we went to school, but since that won't be happening, We would like if the school board would put them and keep them hanging around the school board. After the day the school closes it's doors, and we shall fight to let them be visable, not inside a "box" in the School Board. But I know if nobody stands up and fights, they won't even care.

I am currently compiling a formal request for the school board to outline their specific preservation plan for the portrait collection. Legal counsel is reviewing the school property records to determine what mandates exist regarding the maintenance of these historical items.

Good for you!! As an active community member, I support your petition! You are right ... these grad pictures should not be stored in a box. This is TCDSB history ... if they cannot hang in the school, then they should be displayed at the board office! Good luck!!
Save the pictures. How would you like if some just through away your past into the garbage.
Two of my cousins had attended and graduated from Don Bosco [before my aunt had passed away with cancer (their mother)]. Please keep the pictures and I am also against the school's close.
Class of 1999. I disagree with the school close and would think that may be the school may reopen one day. Regardless the photos should be achieved and preserved.
Reserving a significant part of Don Bosco's history will not only be useful to the students that have graduated, but also for the generation who can come to the school and look back at their parents' most cherished memories.

Class of '91, DonBosco has come full circle. Many students, parents and educators put many hours and fought for this school and was a second home for most. June 24th, 2017 will be a sad day for all. What legacy will we leave behind?
