Stop the maltreatment of patients at Elkhart General Hospital
There have been numerous complaints of less than satisfactory treatment suffered by citizens of Northern Indiana who have sought treatment at Elkhart General Hospital. The Indiana Bill of Rights stipulates all patients must be treated with consideration dignity and respect, free from mental, verbal and physical abuse, neglect and mistreatment. Patients also must be free from discrimination in receiving services on the base of age, race, sex, religious creed, national origin, ancestry and/ or handicap. Despite these basic rights, there have been numerous complaints concerning less than satisfactory care. These complaints primarily are made by those receiving Medicare and Medicaid, although patients who have traditional insurance are not without their grievances. Let's stop the maltreatment now. We need 500 signatures demanding Elkhart General Hospital clean up their act today. Once we've reached the goal of 500 signatures, this petition will be forwarded on to Congresswoman Jackie Walorski and Senator Joe Donnelly. Be a positive part of promoting our community by addressing these concerns.
