Verizon Wireless is asking for approval to build a Cell Tower on the Barren Hill Fire Company property. I am signing this petition in opposition to Verizon's variance request.
Reference: ZHB#2017-01: Cellco Partnership d/b/a Verizon Wireless, 647 Germantown Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA: Parcel #65-00-04279-00-3; Block 022; Unit 014; VC-1 Village Commercial Sub-District 1.
Requested variance from sections: Section 116-302.A.(1), Section 116-302.A.(4)(c), Section 116-302.G.(1)
Objections:
- Under Section 116-302.A,(1), Village Commercial District - The proposed Cell Tower site is within the "Village Commercial District". Whitemarsh Building Code specifically prevents a Cell Tower from being built in this zone.
- Under Section 116-302.A,(1), The proposed Cell Tower is within 500 feet of a Residential District boundary.This tower is only 178 feet from the residential boundary.

I live the the community that would be most directly affected by the proposed tower. Sometimes it makes sense to grant a variance, but this is not one of those times. I strongly oppose the cell tower for the reasons given in this petition.
Do your job! ADHERE to your own guidelines,, LISTEN to your planning board and the residents, and STOP the tower.
Township should follow their own ordinance and also the wishes of their tax paying residents
This will literally be in my backyard and I don't think that this is appropriate for this historic area.
I am opposed to this tower being built. It is far too close to many residential properties.
Danger to all life, Radiation causes cancer and other health problems!

We don't want to lower our property value and have an infringement of our view that this tower will bring. Look somewhere else.
